3. Data Processing on Our Website
a) Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract, as well as our legitimate interest in the secure and error-free provision of our website.
b) Contact (e.g., Waitlist / Email)
If you contact us by email or sign up for our waitlist, the data you provide (in particular, email address, name) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), if this has been requested.
Your data will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been fully processed or after the launch of the platform for which you signed up on the waitlist). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular, retention periods – remain unaffected.
c) Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device using the browser. They do not cause any damage.
We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
Technically necessary cookies, which are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you have requested, are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of our services.
Other cookies (e.g., for marketing or analysis purposes) are only set after your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) via a cookie consent tool. You can revoke your consent at any time.
d) Contact Form (Contact Form 7 & Flamingo)
If you send us inquiries via our contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. This data is stored in the WordPress database via the “Flamingo” WordPress plugin. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Without your consent, no analysis cookies will be set and no data will be transmitted to Google Analytics. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in the cookie settings.
In the case of activation of Google Analytics, information about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We would like to point out that the same level of data protection cannot be guaranteed in the USA as within the EU. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and have agreed to the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of data protection.
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA.

We use the “Cloudflare Turnstile” service from Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, on this website. This service is used to check whether the input in our contact form is made by a human or by abusive, automated processing (so-called “bots”).
Cloudflare Turnstile is a privacy-friendly alternative to traditional CAPTCHA services and works without the use of cookies. For verification, only technical and device-related data (such as IP address, operating system, browser characteristics) are processed. This data is transmitted to Cloudflare.
The use of Cloudflare Turnstile is based on our legitimate interest in securing our website against abusive input and spam in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
